Who makes this

One house, one pair of hands

Everything in the shop is made or grown in the same place it is photographed, which is my living room and the window that gets the best light.

It started with one pothos

The plants came first. The hangers came because nothing I could buy was the right size, and the ones that fit fell apart the first time a wet pot went in them.

So I made one. Then I made one for the plant next to it, and by the time the window was full I had worked out how to make them properly, in cotton that holds its shape and takes a soaking.

The cuttings came later, and only because the plants themselves got out of hand. Everything I sell is something I already keep.

How it works

Made slowly, in small numbers

01

Worked by hand

Every piece is crocheted start to finish in one sitting, in one piece where the shape allows. No two come out identical, and the ones that do not meet the mark do not go up.

02

Cut from my own plants

Cuttings are taken from plants I have grown for years, only when the plant can spare the node. That is why the collection changes week to week and why there is rarely more than one of anything.

03

Packed to arrive alive

Cuttings travel with their roots rinsed clean and wrapped damp, never in soil or moss, and go out early in the week so nothing sits in a depot over a weekend. Yarn goods just need a box.
